The 109th Carnival of Personal Finance
The 109th Carnival of Personal Finance is up at Mint. Here are some of my favorites:
- Is a mouse an emergency? If it is going to eat up (or spoil) hundreds of dollars of stored foods it is. Living behind the curve talks about their $500 weekend on emergency money.
- I check my credit report for free three times a year to look for fraud, and My Money Blog talks about other ways you can save yourself from buying expensive identity theft insurance.
- I like how Picture of Wealth talks about shopping at home to save money (and other tips). That box of beauty products that you have that you never use? Why not shop there instead of Bath and Body Works?
- Thinking of chasing credit card bonuses to make a few extra bucks? Five Cent Nickel talks about what that will do to your credit score (not much in the long term).
- Very near and dear to my heart, Daddy Financials talks about balancing work, goals, and family. He sides on family, which I do, too.
My article on how to make a few hundred extra bucks a year at work also made it into the Carnival.
