The Carnival Of Personal Finance, #106
The Carnival of Personal Finance, #106 was released this morning by The Digerati Life. Here are a few of my favorites:
- Madame X at My Open Wallet talks about how knowing your numbers is still a useful skill. I’ve always loved math, so numbers have always been fun for me, but I know those for whom the whole concept of numbers is yuck.
- At Power Wealth.com they talk about how to Live to Fail to make sure that you’ll end up living on the streets later in life. It’s a funny way to look at it, but what they describe seems to me to be how most people live their financial life!
- Ask the Advisor has a straightforward article on how to get the best loan rate. Simple, practical advice.
- My wife and I love farmer’s markets and so the article about the Farmers market as your place for healthy bargains caught our attenion. We actually belong to a Community Supported Agriculture program, so we don’t go to Farmer’s markets very often (and all the ones around here are during our work hours), but we love it when we go.
- I eat lunch at work 98% of the time, and know how inexpensive it can be. Finance is Personal talks about Five meals you can bring to wok for under $2.00. My lunch of choice is a sandwich, yogurt and fruit. Depending on the meat I use and the cost of the fruit, I’m probably around $2 each day.
I love to participate in the Carnivals, so watch this space every week for some of my favorite posts. Have a great week!
